Two Years on – Success has been declared!

About two years Rushmoor Body Shop agreed to be acquired by Bumps & Scuffs. The combination of their sales and servicing was seen as a great way to combine with our workshop skills.

However, a significant investment in equipment was required by them to ensure that the quality of the repairs and painting was to the high standard demanded. We would not have been able to carry this out on our own. Although it has taken longer than anticipated we are now confident that we can provide high quality, great value repairs, irrespective of size.

The higher throughput has enabled the recruitment of four highly competent individuals so that, not only is the quality of the repairs conducted to the highest quality, but the lead times are significantly shorter.

Some of the activities were:

• The paint oven and compressors had been poorly maintained resulting in the quality of the finish not achieving the consistent high quality demanded for our customers. We are pleased to relate that the investment has transformed the reliability and quality.
• The paint system was very outdated. A state-of-the-art paint system has been installed thus ensuring a perfect match with whatever colour our customers’ cars are.
• New equipment, including dent pullers, shot blasting cabinets, air compressors, to name but a few items, were installed ensuring that the damage was repaired to the highest standard.
• And, as important as any of the investment, has been the recruitment of four extremely well qualified technicians. I am pleased to relate that we now also have the capability of restoring classic cars – but only a very few at a time!

So, looking back over the past two years, there is no doubt that linking up with Bumps & Scuffs has been a great success.

The combined businesses are now able to serve a wide area covering Haselmere, Liphook,  Godalming, Tilford, Frensham, Churt, Headley, Headley Down, Lindford, Farnham, Bordon, Kingsely, Alton, Crondall, Church Crookham. We are also seeing customers from Fleet, Aldershot, Farnborough and Camberley.

All repairs, irrespective of size, are of the highest quality and represent great value.
